Alicia M. Heflin

I am an Arizona native, raised in southeastern Arizona, where immigration issues have long been part of everyday life. Growing up in a border-state community gave me early insight into the real-world impact of immigration law on families, businesses, and individuals seeking stability and opportunity.

Before becoming an attorney, I worked as a paralegal in a variety of legal fields, including criminal and family law. During that time, I developed a strong foundation in client advocacy and case preparation. It was through this experience that I became interested in immigration law—a field that combines complex legal analysis with meaningful, life-changing work.

In 2006, while attending law school, I began working at an immigration law firm. It was there that I quickly realized this was the area of law where I wanted to focus my career. I was drawn to the opportunity to help individuals navigate a complicated and often overwhelming system, and to serve as an advocate for those seeking to build a life in the United States.

Since 2006, I have been assisting individuals and families in the Phoenix area with a wide range of immigration matters, including applications, petitions, waivers, and appeals. My approach is grounded in careful preparation, clear communication, and a commitment to guiding clients through each step of the process with honesty and respect.

I understand that immigration cases are not just legal matters—they are deeply personal. My goal is to provide thoughtful, strategic guidance while helping clients feel informed, supported, and confident as they move forward.
