Becoming a U.S. citizen is one of the most meaningful steps in the immigration journey. It represents security, opportunity, and a permanent commitment to the United States.
At Heflin Law, PLC, we are a mother-and-son immigration law firm in Phoenix, Arizona focused exclusively on immigration law. We help families reunite through family-based green cards, adjustment of status, consular processing, and related immigration petitions…
At Heflin Law, PLC, we guide you through the entire process — from filing the petition to helping your spouse apply for a green card after marriage. As a mother-and-son immigration law firm in Phoenix, you will work directly with an attorney from start to finish.
Immigration court is complex and high-stakes. The judge cannot give you legal advice. The government will have an attorney arguing for removal.
As a mother-and-son immigration law firm in Phoenix, we approach trafficking cases with seriousness, confidentiality, and compassion. Survivors deserve protection. If there is a path forward, we will help you find it.
If you are being hurt, controlled, threatened, or mistreated by a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse, parent, or adult child — you may qualify for immigration protection under VAWA (Violence Against Women Act). Despite the name, VAWA protections are available to women and men. You do not have to stay in an abusive relationship to keep your immigration options.
A waiver, also referred to as el perdón, is a legal request asking the government to forgive or overlook a specific problem so you can move forward with your case. Waivers exist because immigration law recognizes that family unity and humanitarian concerns matter.
If you have a pending or recently denied case—whether you filed on your own or through a third party—and would like our office to review or advise on that matter, a consultation fee of $150 will apply. This fee reflects the time and legal analysis required to properly evaluate an existing case.
Payment of the consultation fee is required in advance to schedule the appointment.
Please note that our office does not provide document review services for self-prepared applications. If you have already filed on your own, we are happy to discuss your case,
options, and potential next steps, but we do not review, edit, or revise previously prepared applications.
Preparing for your consultation does not require perfection — just effort and honesty. Bringing what you have and being open about your history allows us to give you the best possible guidance from the very beginning.
At Heflin Law, we offer affordable and flexible payment plans for most cases we handle. It is important to consider that you are not just paying for paperwork—you are paying for legal judgment, strategy, and risk management. Hiring an attorney is an investment—but it is also a form of protection.
Every immigration case is unique, and the process can often feel overwhelming or confusing. The information below addresses some of the most common general questions about immigration procedures, timelines, and legal options. While these answers provide helpful guidance, they are not a substitute for personalized legal advice. Because immigration laws and policies frequently change, the best way to understand your specific options is through a consultation where your individual circumstances can be carefully reviewed.
